Terms of Service

These terms cover buying from aurena.lk. They are an agreement between you and Aurena, of Aurena, No. 01/01, Colombo Road, Chilaw Town, Sri Lanka. Placing an order means you accept them.

Nothing here takes away a right you have under Sri Lankan law, including the Consumer Affairs Authority Act. Where a term below and the law disagree, the law wins.

Ordering

Everything on the site is an invitation to order, not an offer. Your order is an offer to buy, and there is a contract between us only when we confirm the order has been accepted and dispatched.

We may decline an order — if the piece has sold out, if the price or the description was wrong, if we cannot deliver to the address, or if we suspect fraud. If we decline one you have already paid for, you get all of your money back and we do not keep a fee. That is an order we never sent, not a return — see returns & exchanges for a parcel that has already reached you.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees.
• Payment is taken before dispatch. We do not offer cash on delivery, and nothing ships before the payment has gone through.
• Payment is processed by PayHere. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
• Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay. See shipping.
• Prices can change, but never after you have paid for an order.

If a price is obviously wrong — a mistake anyone would recognise as a mistake — we are not obliged to sell at it. We will tell you before doing anything, and return your money in full if you would rather not go ahead.

Orders are final

Once you place an order it is final. We do not cancel orders and we do not refund them, in any case. Please check your size, colour and delivery address before you pay.

If something is wrong when the parcel reaches you, we will exchange it — see returns & exchanges for how.

If we cannot supply what you ordered — an item sells out between your payment and our packing it — we will contact you and exchange it for another piece of the same value. You are never left with nothing for a payment you have made.

The pieces themselves

We photograph and describe garments as accurately as we can. Colour varies between screens, and fabric that is dyed or woven in small runs varies slightly between pieces — that is a property of the cloth, not a fault. Measurements are given as a guide; ask us if you are between sizes.

Because runs are short, a piece may sell out while it is in your bag. A bag is not a reservation.

Your account

If you create one, keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it. We may suspend an account being used for fraud or abuse.

What is on this site

The photographs, text, designs and the Aurena name belong to us. Please do not copy them for your own commercial use. Linking to us is welcome.

If something goes wrong

We are responsible for the things a shop is properly responsible for: sending you what you ordered, in the condition described, and putting it right when we should. We are not responsible for losses that had nothing to do with us — a courier strike, an internet outage, a flood.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka deal with any dispute under them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top of this page is the date of the most recent change.
